I made this video when we first got the diagnosis. We were all devastated. She's doing really great now with all of the treatments, and we thank the youtube community for all its love and concern!

Julia just found out she has type one diabetes (insulin dependent). We're all glad she's going to be fine. She misses her friends right now(Melody is her best friend from home).

Julia is a child we look up to to give us courage and strength, knowing julia from these videos im sure she she can handl it but my love goes out to you allX
My cousins has type 1 diabetes to and seh is 20 now, she was same age as julia, when she found out, and yes there were times when she found it hard but now, infact it doesn't bother her, its simply something that is part of her identity, something that makes her and indeed julia that extra bit more special:)

Ooooo the horrible "A" IV cannula :S I had one of those when i got sick in China last year, never had such a painful IV before or after that :S

aww. how old is she? i was diagnosed with diabeties when i was 4. it'll be 12 years in december. You have a long road ahead of you. a couple years down the line, she'll want to give up. she'll say something,like, "i dont want to be diabetic anymore!" or "why me?!" my mom used to tell me i was diabetic because god knew i culd handle it. good luck & God bless you guys :)
