  • I have a class schedule based website. I'm looking for a way to have users pick/click certain classes or teachers, and when they are teaching, the students are notified by email. Anyone?

  • Man, this is fantastic. Your tutorials are superb! Educational, funny, good pace etc. Great job!!!

Could you continue this series with something similar to aweber? A cron job that emails a set of pre-made emails to each person in the list individually. Fex. person A signs up on 2009, and is now on the 10th email blast, whereas person B signed up on 2011 and is now on his 3rd? At the same time we can do instant blasts to the full list (regardless of sign up date)

    THAT would be fantastic!!!

  • Dude, It's not lame. And yes I need this. You mentioned something about writing the cron job into the script. I would love to see how to do that. I have a script that updates a shopping cart with a drop shippers "quantity available" every 15 minutes. However go-daddy's cron rewrites the file into their "secure Cron" directory And wont let the external csv file load. So I have had to use an external cron service.

I would love to know how to run this script every 15 minutes without using cron.

  • @duerdum9 at the command line type "crontab -e" followed by enter, which will openup an editor ( vi, vim, nano, etc ) where you will have to edit the cron config, as mentioned in wikipedia::Cron

  • Could you please show us how you do this, manually, I mean like, you got a server (VPS), or home server, and then set it up? Thank you.

  • nice i would love to learn how to script this manually

  • gimme blow job

  • Safety first:p how i prevent that other people tryna run the file?

  • Great series
