8th Odkrywamy Ameryke Session gets down and dirty on some traditional folk from the U.S. Although you may say it does on the Chopin Year, too. We followed Sam Amidon, a young songwriter with an ear toward Depression-era sounds and great ability to express large feelings in a few lines, to the place where Frédéric Chopin was born 200 years ago. He stopped there on his way to Poznań for less than half an hour but within that time we managed to shoot a video session designed to be a virtual tour of the newly rebuilt museum. Cooled off 'Climbing High Mountains' & the bewitching cover of 'Relief' by R. Kelly (sic!) Sam performed while strolling in the park, whereas an astonishing banjo version of 'Wedding Dress' he did inside the Preludium edifice. Recorded on 5/18/2010 at Chopin Center in Żelazowa Wola, Poland.
Sam must tell us the story as only he could. I hope I'm there when and if he does.

I think this is an excellent video, with the natural qualities all around him. It's not supposed to be a studio session - it's supposed to be outdoors, walking (with sounds of footsteps), birds, and chance interaction with people... Good job. Love it just how it is!

i love sam but this seems very awkward. the noise of footsteps is annoying. not one of the best 'session' type videos i've seen.
