No, tried for them on other trips but no success, think the Ramganga is the place to go for a goonch

@ellora5 Mahseer can be caught on plugs, spoons and spinners, just upgrade the trebles

Can I ask what rods/reels you guys used? I thought I heard BlackRock at one point. Also, how did you cope with the swift running water in terms of lure action? Just upstream and straight retrieve through the drift?

Used daiwa Exceller 11ft spinning rods, with daiwa saltist spinning reels, most casts made across current, then a slow retrive, current brings lure in at an arc, then moved a down a few yards and cast repeated
