I love when I get emails from banks I don't even bank at that says my account has been altered. Companies will never ask for a password or to re-enter credit information in an email.

Half the time the internet links are really easy to notice they are a fake.

Also, look for websites that are digitally signed/encrypted, as all banks, etc., have that on their websites when you enter info. It's like another layer of protection for your data which prevents it from going to bad people.
