Today, we offer a tongue-in-cheek look at the abandoned boat problem.
Derelict boats are a real problem. Not only do they litter harbors and beaches, theyre also hazards to navigation. Anybody whos had a run-in with one has almost certainly dreamed of taking the matter into their own hands — maybe with a chainsaw, backhoe and an extra-large dumpster.
With the help of some video shot by the team at Poseidon Salvage & Towing/TowBoatU.S. (www.salvagemaster.com) in Islamorada, Fla., we offer a few, rather pointed suggestions for clearing the waterways of abandoned boats.
