Well, it was really luck to catch it on the first try with an ultra ball. For legendaries, I usually chuck about 20 ultra balls, put it to sleep, then start chucking timer balls.

Using a Shedinja would've probably been the best way since Kyogre does not have any default moves that could hit it. I found that weakening the Pokemon doesn't help me much. I've honestly caught a Rayquaza by throwing an ultra ball on the first turn. o_o;

weird cuz i threw an ultra ball to catch rayquaza for like 4 times and it dint work =s
