Hello it's Tuesday, March 4, 2008. I'm Rebecca Field in for Kristin Volk today with your UPI headline update.
Voters in four key states are heading to the polls today...a day that may give a clearer picture as to who will battle for the White House. Contests are being held in Rhode Island, Vermont, Ohio and Texas. The results could secure Republican John McCain the nomination. As for the Democrats, political analysts say winning Ohio and Texas is crucial for Hillary Clinton to stay in the game against Barack Obama. Right now, recent poll results show the contest is too close to call.
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is in the Middle East today, trying to resume halted peace talks. Rice met with the Egyptian Foreign Minister in Cairo yesterday to discuss the recent violence in Gaza. Her visit comes one day after Israeli officials ended a ground offensive targeting Palestinian militants. The offensive was in response to rockets being fired into Israel last week. Rice will meet with top Palestinian and Israeli leaders later this week to try and get peace talks back in progress.
Groups of protesters took the streets in Russia yesterday in response to the Presidential election results. Kremlin candidate Dmitry Medvedev took an easy win on Sunday taking more than 70 percent of the votes. More than 300 riot police reportedly clashed with opponents...many of them having to detain activists. Some protesters say the elections were pre-planned and Medvedev was missing any real competition.
President Bush honored a Korean war hero with the Congressional Medal of honor yesterday. Army Master Sgt. Woodrow "Woody" Keeble, who died nearly 26 years ago, was awarded the medal for his bravery, helping fellow soldiers in Korea. Keeble is the first Sioux Indian to receive the honor and only the tenth veteran to be awarded the medal from Bush. Keeble's stepson Russell Hawkins accepted the honor on his behalf.
That's all for now. Check out upi.com for all our special segments. Thanks for watchin
No I think your thinking of Hillary Clinton's husband Bill and his affairs with Lewinsky or Flowers and several other women. You know - Bill - the guy who was impeached....

Maria Kennedy Shriver. Hillary Rodham Clinton. John Fitsgerald Kennedy. George W. Bush. Hussein is his name. And your point is? If he was ashamed of it, why didn't he change it? If an American is named Jesus, is he supposed to hemhaw about it? If this is the kind of heat he can't handle, I wonder about that "bomb" question.

It was pretty obvious that no matter which side she sat on, the question came to her first. I have a lot of respect for Sen Clinton and Condi Rice. Both take their hits and keep on going. More backbone than the press and the men?

Immigrants from all nations have been exploded for their labor. Blacks forget the Irish were dirt. It doesn't make any difference. The biggest difference is that some acclamate themselves as US Americans and others do not. I think more ugly "ethics" are raised now that erased everything every one worked so hard for. The 60's are gone or are they back? The Asians learn English, get education and move to top jobs. Ethnic or be a success. It's a choice.

I think you're really dumb. Don't deny that you included "Hussein" to try to disparage him. It's obvious you did; so stop lying. And are you so stupid that you believe Obama intentionally hopes that he'll be second to answer questions so he can copy what Clinton is saying? You sure are very ignorant for believing this crap.

I didnt add Hussein to his name his parents did. Btw My first name is a Muslim name. Its Jamil. And Im not childish just because I enjoy humor. Anyway. Obama is too inexperienced for the job of President. He is also like that guy in school that looks at your test paper and copies because he did not study. That is why he always goes second in answering debates so he can copy Hillarys answers. And he has been caught in lies lately. Hillary is going to make such a great president.

You have a silly imagination. And you're a shameful person for adding "Hussein" in his name. You're bigoted and childish as well. Just because you're dumb enough not to vote for someone because of their name, don't think your cheap rhetoric will convince anyone else. Obama's still very ahead of Clinton, and he's gonna win Pennsylvania. But that's not the point: the point is you're too childish to vote.

Obama reminds me of that man youve dated or been married to that cheats on you or is neglectful to you and you know your relationship isnt right but he tries to convince with just his words how much he loves you, but then he just goes on neglecting you and cheating on you. You know what Im talking about ladies, talk is cheap. Here is your chance to stand up to the cheap talker. Dont vote for Barak Hussein Obama. Hillary won Texas and Ohio, looks like shes not backing down!!!!!
