It seems that every other day some new study comes out with conflicting information about fats, oils, nuts and seeds.

Are you "going nuts" trying to sort the truth from the propaganda? Are all fats created equal? Is olive oil a health food? Is the Mediterranean Diet the healthiest diet? What about the French Paradox? Are nuts and seeds good for you?

In this eye-opening lecture, Jeff will help you understand the skinny on fats.

This is a short excerpt from Jeff Novick's 90-minute talk on fats. Want the full picture about olive oil? About the Mediterranean Diet? The various kinds of fats?

It's all available on Jeff's OIL TO NUTS DVD at: https://secure2.vegsource.com/catalog...

MORE INFO ABOUT MEDITERRANEAN DIETS:

Conclusions: "In terms of their effects on postprandial (after a meal) endothelial function, the beneficial components of the Mediterranean and Lyon Diet Heart Study diets appear to be the antioxidant-rich foods—vegetables, fruits, and their derivatives such as (balsamic) vinegar, and omega-3-rich fish and canola oils—not olive oil. Canola oil may share some of the unique vasoprotective properties of other omega-3-rich oils, such as fish oil. Dietary fruits, vegetables, and their products appear to provide some protection against the direct impairment in endothelial function produced by high-fat foods, including olive oil."

This idiot dispenses information that allowed me to lower my cholesterol almost 100 points in 2 months through changing to a whole foods, plant-based diet. I had previously subscribed to a "Mediteranean" type diet and took fish pills for years, all with no results (cholesterol remained the same.) To me, Jeff Novick is a good-natured goofball who really knows his stuff. My proof is in my lab work.

Jesus christ this presentation is pathetic. You would think someone with the audacity to get up on stage giving people health advice would actually spend some time with the medical research literature beyond cherry-picking support for their prepacked ideology.

But isn't there a significant difference between sugar and fat in terms of glycemic spike?

Isn't it the insulin spike that prompts our bodies to put on weight?
