@Poisonedheart1996 Exactly. Emo came from pop-punk, indie rock, and hardcore influences. Goth came from post-punk and some 70s glam influences, along with traditional melancholy folk. Gothic metal took that sound and merged it with late 80s/early 90s thrash, albeit more doom-ridden and melodic. Industrial accounts for the electronic accents thrown in.
