Images from the Ringling Brothers Circus in Oakland, CA
These pictures were taken at the Animal Open House where they allow the public see the the animals up close. No video cameras were allowed, I got the tiger pacing in his cage with shots from multiple frames. I was harassed as being a Peta member and told to "take only positive photos," by one of the trainers. Seeing the animals face to face was heart wrenching. All these animals are amazing creatures and to see them being used as a slave and commodity for a meaningless entertainment makes anyone with a conscience say this should stop. They spend their whole life in confinement, perform unnatural tricks, experience humiliation and abuse from trainers, are beaten into submission and taken away from the wild. I just caught a glimpse into their painful life through the careful watch of their oppressors. I hope more people become aware to end this abuse.
