  • Hi everyone.

i have just watched Karans video for the first time.

Eh....sorry to brake it to you but he hits the ball out at 2:08!!! VOID!

Also please watch my video and his video one after each other and tell me if you see a difference in tempo?!

Figure of 8's at child speed is laughable! When you post a proper figure of 8's video, please let me know!!

  • 2:08 ball was in. 800-odd consecutive shots follow, well over OWP's claim that I couldn't do 500 lol. In vid 2, shot @4:25 might have been out. So will redo and post 1K to end all speculation.

Suggest you two announce rules of a "proper" figure-8 challenge BEFORE it begins, not after. Want a speed contest? Then publish rules (or challenge Mark Chaloner).

Think I'll whack a ball 1K times as hard as you did for 293? Think again. Marathoners don't sprint and I like my arm too much.

  • But there are figure of eights and there are figure of eights. You can almost say there is a universal speed for the proper figure of eight which you are clearly not doing. You are doing it so slowly its actually not impressive in the slightest. It's also evident from your swing that you are not a very good squash player either. Until you beat my 293 at a decent speed then I will take my hat off to you.

  • Didn't notice till I took a second look -- he's using a single-dot. Makes it much easier. Still impressive though. I knock off about 100 (using a double dot, mind you) before the monotomy of it kicks in and my concentration slips.

  • A single dot?

    1. That would make it harder because the ball would travel faster

    2. You cant see the ball to determine that

    3. What a totally pointless comment

  • Look, at the end of the day this is the You Tube World Record for Figure of Eights. Anyone that critises is clearly just jealous!

  • @tarrierboy I agree fully. Soft figure eights DO NOT count. The pace in the vid is okay... I'd prefer a bit harder but any SOFTER IS GARBAGE and doesn't count towards any sort of figure 8's record.

  • Iv watched this like 100 times n it still doesnt get old

  • @MorgeGeorgan your a call of duty player.

  • were you feeling it towards the end?

  • Brilliant

  • Why do people have to come on and claim they could do better or that this is 'easy' to do? Get over yourselves. It's just someone's video, if you don't like it then make your own, but don't waste your time writing pointless messages to try and prove how much better you are.

Great vid tarrierboy - for the record I can 8 consecutive figure 8s - and that's allowing the ball to bounce!

  • Hunt claims his cash winnings and admits the ball probably went out of court!

  • No question: to improve accuracy and timing, these are best done as quickly as possible. However, speed is unnecessary to take up OWPs challenge. He does not require it. Standard of play and ability to be "impressive" are also irrelevant to the challenge.

Obviously my swing would be different with a hot, fast, horizontally-moving ball vs. a lukewarm, slower one moving in a more vertical trajectory.

1,000 at any speed require practice, skill and concentration. Try it and get back to us.
