Good Eurovision performance from Mary in 1970.
This was the runner-up to the worthy winner, Ireland's Dana with 'All Kinds Of Everything.
A quote from co-writer of 'KKWT' John Carter ... 'I think Mary Hopkin regretted Eurovision. She didn't want to do it and was talked into it. I don't think she liked the record.'

Two beautiful singers, born in 1950. Both sang at Eurovision, neither really comfortable in the spotlight: Mary Hopkin and Agnetha Faltskog.

Dana, it can't be denied, was vocally a bit stronger and a tad better that night, especially in the high register. Her song was syrupy, Mary's song much more catchy, but she sounded a bit unsure, nerves perhaps. Mary seemed she stepped fresh from a fairy tale - she looked very lovely - whereas Dana went for a semi-intellectual cafe-chantant approach. That Contest was light pop music entertainment, so for me, Mary Hopkin was and still is the winner.
