  • Steve, I know the whole calories in vs calories out thing, but I recently tried a diet program where I create a calorie deficit of around 7000 calories a week. what i do is cycle my carbs for about a week and do a protein only day right before i do a cheat day. on the cheat day i go crazy, im talking like a whole pizza and then some ice cream right after. easily about 10-20k calories a day if not way more. how is it that im losing fat after a cheat day?

  • @aam14rs I answered your question on my 5-17-10 BlogTalkRadio show. Go to BlogTalkRadio and search Steve Turano. The show can also be downloaded from iTunes. The most recent shows can also be heard on my website home page (at the bottom) once it uploads. Tell a friend! ~Steve

  • That's right, dumb ass. You can eat anything and as long as you create a calorie deficit you'll lose weigtht. The New England Journal of Medicine proved that.

  • steve i wanted to know if Green Tea help your metabolism? because i heard it might

  • fuck u and urBlogTalkRadio show clown

  • @BodyPerformanceTV yes it does. Well for me it does. My me sweat, and more awake. This is non-caffinated BTW!!

  • I thought your metabolism was your BMR and exercise ( and a few food items SLIGHTLY increase it ) ups it.

    are metabolism and BMR different?

  • this guy effing rules! he tells you what you need to know... the best

  • @Russellt0228 age matters a lot. 5'7 170 lbs age 18 = 1853.6 BMR but there are calories in everything, its hard to be sure. we also only absorb about 80% of calories anyway. a lot of contradictions sure :)

Does he have a very low fat %?

  • @mandowarrior123 i dont know man at 5'7 i dont think its possible fro your BMR to be 1900 cal. muscle per lb burns only like 30-50 add calories so you might just be a lil off. Alot of times i think im burning alot more and suddenly i cut my diet and stop losing weight. its cause in reality i burn far less, i think we all do.

my buddy is 6'3 250 lbs and eats about 1800 cal a day. he hasnt gained or lost weight. think about that stat

  • @Russellt0228 i'm only 5'7 and even in bed all day i should burn about 1900 calories though. i recently checked and although I'm "overweight" i have only a 13% body fat which is an atheletes level. maybe this is why i haven't noticed much difference, my muscles are large so i guess its them that cause me to look fatter then i am. uhh all i had yesterday was a bowl of whole grain cereal and a beef burger :3 uhh a couple years at low intensity? what do you suggest?

  • @mandowarrior123 how much do you consumer, how tall are you, and how long youve been working out my friend?

  • @Probonoman yes and no. its very good for you, and helps you become healthier, but you arent really getting what metabolism is, if you really had a bad metabolism you would colapse doing the simplest exertion as your body would be unable to create energy

  • @Russellt0228 i probably burn about 700 - 1000 calories a day, because thats what i eat and i aint losin ;P
