So why is it called don't bank on the Isle of Man if the UK government has it?

Nickalius - it's a fair question and as Frozen1951 says, it's because the IoM didn't stand with us to fight the UK. I have followed every twist and turn and the IoM will not even talk to the UK (I've even tried to arrange this!). The IoM Government cares only for itself and so I have to advise other people not to take the risk by putting their money there.

Rats, sewers, smells. Every word in this video is true. We just want JUSTICE from the UK Govt, our money returned in full and an end to this devastating catastrophe. How can anyone trust the IoM with their money if they read the details of this debacle? They allowed £500 mn + to be moved into UK Jurisdiction without any protection. The IoM Govt have helped UK Govt to "shaft us good & proper", brave, hard working predominately old, fully taxed UK Citizens who don't deserve this.

Not a bad assessment of what went on this fiasco! And the touch of humour is great! I assume you lost some (or maybe a lot!) of money because of these bastards Darling, Brown, etc.? If so you have my sympathy (for wot its worth).

It does def underline the weird U-turn by IoM Gov and makes you wonder what they were threatened with by HMG to make that happen!

I hope this whole crock of shit from HMG and IoM Gov is exposed for what it was one day.

I wish Ratty had been a member of the Isle of Man's regulatory body, the FSC. I bet he wouldn't have allowed over half the bank's assets to be deposited UNSECURED in London!

Brilliant! Great video - tells it how it is. The IOMG had an excellent opportunity to take HMG to task at the Treasury Select Committee but chose not to. They accepted the responsibilty and wasted 10 months while the assets are being eaten up in costs and fees. What a disgrace!!
