I have a question about the pronunciation of the 'wo' particle. I
thought I'd do my best to ask it in Japanese.

  • I just wanted to give you a quick tip on your Japanese.

For the word "computer", the Japanese usually say "persocom", which is short for "personal computer".

  • A very good point! Thanks :)

  • computer on feet? i guess you wanted to say "computer on lap" in Japanese. lap=ひざ(hiza).

ii..good?? yoi is better to say good in Japanese..

wo is originally pronunced in OLD people. but modern people like me will pronunce it as "o" not "wo" . if you want to know the example, look at Noh, classical traditional entertainment, video! it said "wo" not "o"..

if you want to know more detail of it , please give me message ! bye !

  • "o" is more like a standard way to pronounce を.

Agency of Cultural Affairs of Japan(that's one of the government departments overseeing cultural stuffs) published a roman character table that maps hiraganas/katakanas to Roman characters.

を is mapped on "o" sound in that table.

  • Not a problem!
