North Korea says it will restrict cross-border activities with South Korea, allowing fewer opportunities for separated families to meet with long-lost relatives. It marks a major cooling of relations between the two Cold War foes after a few years of hope that tensions were easing.

  • Are you really suggesting that the people who currently are living in South Korea would have been better off today if Kim Il-sung had been allowed to conquer the South? Do yourself a favor and learn something about North Korea first before you make such an idiotic statement.

  • South Korea is considered a 1st world country by todays standards. Kim Jong Il and his father may have built many beautiful cities but ultimately the lifestyle and freedom in North Korea is horrible. They have been isolated from the world. We certainly don't have to worry about any North Koreans joining this conversation, they simply can't.

Sometimes countries get so mixed up and backwards they need to have someone come in and help them. North Korea needs help.

  • North Korea is its own worst enemy. They should open up, allow free travel in and out of the country, allow its citizens to have free and unrestricted access to outside information and foreign contact. That is, unless they have something to hide...

  • the president of south korea takes a firm attitude to north. south korean won value is terribly declining. power is transferring to the husband of kim jong il's sister. he, the brother-in-law has the pipes between the china communist party. that is why it's no wonder that they closed the bridge.

  • During The Cold War many country were been used as puppets, by both the Americans and Soviet Union as their battle ground. Even if their propaganda sounds positive toward the supported side but their intentions can not be said the same. They used other country as their tool to show off their power because certainly they don't want to fight a war in their own country. As a conclusion we all got fooled by the white mans.

  • Yes, of course, now I get it. A Korea united under Kim Jong-Il, the dear leader and rightful owner of all Korean peoples, would be a blissful utopia where individual liberty and economic prosperity would flourish. If only the evil imperialist United States and their puppet South Korean government would just treat him fairly, or better yet perish, then all would be well. The great leader and dear leader are infallible, they have certainly done no wrong. ahahaha

  • this is more like fascist ...

  • Koreans miss each other..ooo..

well, communism brings only to bad doesnt it?
