miami should of won this game, but the stupid notre dame refs lost miami another national title.
-
because of overtime those NCAA assholes implemented into games. you will never see games likes this again.
-
Yeah, now that nobody puts up with notre dame's at home cheating anymore they've really fallen off, but UM/Notre Dame was a great series.
-
it was and still is one of the greatest games i have ever saw, even if miami's media griped about it being a fluke win and a controversal game with the fumble (or no fumble) late in the game

I love the 1812 Overture at the end. It's almost like they are taunting Miami. Jimmy Johnson crying to the officials on the sideline....haha! Then again, ND did snap a 35 game regular season winning streak...so let the band play!
-
Walsh threw for over 400 yards.....and ND still won! What a game!
And Jimmy's hair was at it's all-time best that game too.
-
To bad Notre Dame won't let us flood the field any more.
-
This is still (if not) one of the greatest football games I have ever seen !
"This was won by the Notre Dame spirit... SHUT UP!!!" lol I love Lou Holtz

To bad college football doesn't have games of this magnitude anymore. This was defintely an all time classic. Another all time college football classic from the 80's was the 1987 Fiesta Bowl national championship game between Miami and Penn State. Today it seems to many games are over hyped with exsessive music, smoke, rap/rock music, special effects, and the annoying analysis of the college football game day crew at ESPN. College Football will never as great as it once was years ago.
