This is a documentary on the drumming circles that meet at Hippy Hill at Golden Gate Park everyday in San Francsisco. First off I'd like to thank everyone involved, especially those I interviewed.

Random occurrences of violence is something you have to deal with in the city. I've seen many vicious arguments on the MUNI over the few years I've lived here. The poor will always hate the rich. The druggies think no one understands them. The rich feel it's not their problem that the world is fucked up. And that's not even throwing race into the mix... It's everyone's problem but no one's fault.
now see, the people your talking about are definatly not true hippies, there just drug dealers and all drug dealers are the same everywhere most of the hippy's ive met here in tulsa oklahoma are pretty cool folks, but live and learn always have the amount you need on hand so that doesnt happen next time, and hippy's using violence, are not real hippy's
I got into a fight earlier today with a drug dealer. I bought some weed from this group of people on Hippie Hill, asked for change which they said they would give me but didnt. Then after that, they told me to go away and I said I wouldnt till I got my change. After that, they punched me in the face 3 times and took my wallet. Fucking scum. I outnumbered 5 to one. Be careful who you deal with down there. They could rip you off and take advantage of you.
I used to live and drum in that circle all the time when i lived in the bay area. You should have interviewed some of the DRUMMERS, not just the "leader(?)." They are a pretty consistent group. If it's called "Inside the Circle," you could have spent more time talking to the people inside the circle, instead of just the random people watching the drummers on the hill that day.

And don't buy weed from sketchy people...
