The SD-card is connected to the AVR via SPI using TinyFAT fs on the AVR to access the FAT file system. The song on the SD-card was generated by modifing the siddump program and make it dump address-data-pairs to a file with markers end of "frame" on a big computer. The AVR program reads the address-data-pairs and sends them to the SID-chip. If it finds a frame-end marker it pauses for a while. The frequencies and timeing is a bit off, but will be fixed. The goal is to make a portable sid-player with an actual SID-chip. See the updated version of the video:
