  • Wrong, if we had let the MARKET dictate the pricing of housing instead of FALSE SUBSIDIZATION by the gov. we would have hit bottom and been on our way back up 2 years ago! All the gov is doing is delaying the problem by letting it down gently, therefore we still have a way to go before we hit bottom!

  • Mr. Spady has missed an important aspect of the government buying these houses. They are buying these houses to keep the prices up. How are high home prices good for the average guy? I guess if I own real estate then yes, it is good (and I do). But isn't that a special interest? Also, if the prices fell I could default on my loans and buy a house cash. Either way, the little guy would win.
