  • This was a very early preview video, released before the game was. The previewer is Paizo's publisher Erik Mona who did, in fact, read the book. You make an excellent point though--we need to put up a video describing the game and its changes now that the game is out.

  • I was a 20 year gamer but quit when my group went to 4th edition. They later chucked it and went back to 3.5 but I was gone. I used to be an outstanding dm and even had a projection monitor with a mirror that projected the map & electronic tokens to the game mat so I could scroll and zoom the playing surface. But I haven't picked up dice for 2 years now. Now that pathfinder is out I'm warming up my dice for my first game, on the 16th of next month. My book will arrive in a week. I'm back!

  • This is not just reprint 3.5, they did a lot of changes.

  • What a ripoff

  • @jackal242 Fair use. The game can be played with 3.0/3.5 D&D. Not much of a problem. Certain spells were renamed. I have the game d its pretty fun. Its just like D&D with some alterations here and there.

  • How did they legally get away with copying AD&D ? I mean even all the spells are the exact same names.

  • @PaizoPublishing hey paizo staff, i need more miniatures, please make more!!! love them

  • @Arbie8327 The monster stats are in the bestiary, though you can find almost all the gaming rules, including monster stats on their web site. I would suggest anyone who wants to play at least get the bestiary one, it's a very handy and beautiful book.

  • @vention4wh that's great, I hate what 4e did to the hobby, glad it didn't drive you out!

  • I'm a bit late to the party but I'm considering getting into Pathfinder. One question: are there rudimentary monster stats in the core book or do I absolutely need the Bestiary supplements?

  • ... I want one.

  • @vgmaster9 Yes they can. Though pathfinder doesn't have complete offical rules for monster PC races yet, so if you want to use them as PC races it's subject to GM's approval. On the side note, all the core races(human,elf..etc.) has been powered up a bit. You might want to check them out first.

  • @yukarjama So the 3.5 versions of the Eladrin, Tieflings, and Dragonborns can be used as well then.
