Same here i love the camera but hate the battery. Same thing happens when i discharge my 18650's and try to charge them again.....no dice.

OM Goodness. I have had the EX-Z60 for yrs. It is in a box in new cond. 1 day, it would not recharge. Instead of figuring out warranties or taking it to a camera shop, I decided to buy another camera. As I am cleaning the basement, I came across the camera/box and decided to google the camera. I now understand what has happened. The camera is perfect, but I need a new battery. I would hate to invest in another battery if the same thing may happen. Do you have any suggestions?

Ive had two different Casio exilim cameras and both had batteries that wouldnt charge after trying to charge it a few times... GARBAGE! Theyre selling DEFECTIVE GARBAGE... I actually liked my camera.. just not the battery.. too bad

After searching for a solution to this problem on the net, I found the answer is to get some wires and connect the bad battery to a 9 volt battery ( - to - , + to +) for 60 seconds. This boosts the battery just enough so it will charge on the charger.

Mine doesnt work either. I only used this camera several times. not gonna buy casio any more.

I'm a sad user of Exilim Z-60, battery failed when i stopped using the camera and pictures are just shit. i'm not a pro-photographer but when i see people that even don't know what ISO is taking better pictures than me with a discount digital camera i think it's the camera to blame.
i'm really really really mad at Casio.

UPDATE: I called Casio about this battery issue and they informed me that the older defective batteries have now been replaced. According to them the new batteries will not fail. I'll let everyone know.
