  • Who is this D.J Stalinger?

  • @TheMonsterHunterTV Actually it's author with few very succusful novels and it's a novel(it's his 2nd and last novel) that didn't cause him honor by what Mark Chpman did, but very famous anyhow. His first book is A perfect Day for Bananafish was his first novel. Died 2010

  • Thanks for doing this..I love this book..I just wish the crazy old bastard would stop being so selfish and publish some more.. It pisses me off that the author I love the most has had so few books published ...maybe its a good thing...im not sure. But this and 9 stories are books that im willing to read again and again..so..thanks again for doing this.

  • Ah, you know, he just doesn't want to release anything while still alive. Ironically, the only way will get some new works upon his death.

Wonder how he's doing physically now. He'll be 91 in january.

  • yep..:)

  • I know....I assumed he will publish some more but he chose to remain underground after this story...Who knows if he in fact written some more? We might find out soon and I hope he had some stories instored for us. R.I.P J.D!

  • @ladydawn1973Eternity

I know but at the begining of this video you wrote D.J not J.D ^^

  • When Salinger died, his most famous quote about the book was in the press release in 1951 when he said: Some of my best friends are children. In fact, all of my friends are children. A modern day re-telling in Catcher, Caught, being read in high schools and some college lit classes. Book trailer here at

"Holden Caulfield, Where Are You? at youtube.com/watch?v=t69wC9GAmM0

  • love the catcher and the rye :D

  • I LOVE this book. My most favorite one ever. Holden Caulfield is my hero even though he's the anti-hero type, but I think he's mine. God! I wish J.D was still alive.

  • It would be interesting to see the stipulations in his will about publishing his work after his death. I would not be surprized if gave an instuction to burn all his manuscripts. I really hope whatever he has written is published..i dont care who gets the money or how fast he will spin in his grave. ..I want just to read more...more short stories would be fantastic. Please do not get me wrong I respect the man but im going to be as selfish as hell about this..I want more books. Guess Im a phony!

  • thanks for sharing Clarice, JD Salinger great author indeed !

  • thank you for posting this Clarice
