Dog Beach in Ocean Beach, San Diego

I went to visit my friend, Nan, in San Diego this summer, and this was one of my favorite places out there. OB (Ocean Beach)(they really do name everything with initials out there!) has a miles and miles long beach, and at one end of it, dogs are allowed off leash to play in the surf. I could have watched them all day. You have never seen such pure animalistic joy in your life. I would love to go back there and stay for a week just in the OB area. So relaxing, just walking around, lounging, and eating fish tacos!

So much fun. I miss OB. I try to make it there at least 3 times a summer. Take a walk down Newport and go get some breakfast at Old Townhouse!

I'm jelous that you get to go to OB that many times! Haven't made it back yet, myself....am in Chicago now, just in time to see my beloved Cubbies get slaughtered.....I'll have to think about Dog Beach in order to try and relax my mind from that debacle!! Thanx for your comment!

thank you for this footage. It makes me feel good and experience it again. I would take my kids (dogs) there most every day. I am in Austin now, for awhile, and there are leash free places here. Even water ones, but no ocean of course. You have helped me visualize being there. Again. Sigh.
