I already posted it in another Chrome Video, but let me try to attract your attention one more time. Please, guys, please: Make your API synchronous! If a content script is invoked let it respond right away. Whatever security concerns you have - you are not solving any by disabling synchronous access to a content script and extension API. If one just wants to know content of open tabs it is possible to get it. What is not possible is to execute a logical algorithm that depends on the tab content
