The Definitive Monster Movie, shot on regular 8mm Kodachrome film on an Austrian-Made Eumig movie camera when Dinosaurs ruled the Earth (circa 1969)! Mary Shelley's entire monstrous saga condensed into four minutes (look for the mid-roll splice). Costumes by Carolyn Salemi. Robert Haas as "A" Monster (we didn't have enough title characters remaining to say "The" Monster. The exhumation scenes were filmed in a real colonial-era graveyard!
Have you read the Joseph Conrad Story (Short Novel), "Youth?" It's excellent, really great, and the narrator keeps saying "Ah, Youth!" between relating episodes from his seafaring youth (and drinking). Actually, he says "Ah, Youth...Pass The Bottle!"

Yes! The Monster was chewing gum! Robert Haas. His parents ran a sweet shop for years in my home town of Syosset, New York.
