  • Get an arduino, a ir proximity sensor from sparkfun for example and relay. On Arduino Playground web site u can find almost all information you need to start your project. Your project is based in only one condition: if your sensor detects something, it sets a pin to a high level. this pin will close the relay so the light attached will be on. Good Luck

  • hmm why no resistors for leds? Coz arduino supplies 20mA max from the pin?

  • Great project :) I'm 14 and taking Wood Work as a GCSE and I would like to make an interactive table so when you put something on its surface it'll light up, but i don't want to start buying everything to find out I can't do it :S For getting me going can you tell me where I can find this code ?

    Thanks Josh.
