Ya you wanna make sure its timed and tuned right before you get on the crank. Before I had my WD all tuned up it backfired while i was cranking it and i just about lost my arm. But thats what makes you appreciate it when it finally fires
-
yes you are right about that now your a guy that knows what hes talking about unlike some people on here. if you depend on eather you wont have an engine for very long. it destroys them engines.
-
i doubt it. its kind of one of those back in the day tractors so you probly have to hand crank it if you want to start it.

I am currently restoring a 1940 b try adjusting the carb with the screw on the very front that you can adjust with your hand and hooking a timing light to the #1 spark plug and using the timing mark through the small hole on the left side of the bell housing in between the two mounting holes there should be a fire mark 30 degrees from TDC there is also TDC mark, also I have never used the choke on mine it starts right up. You also see the flames mine shoots out all the time just a pipe
-
My WD shoots out a flame on occasion (gives it character haha). LOOKIN GOOD THOUGH!!!
