xbox to jamma adaptor

hey everyone thought id show the xbox to jamma setup i use for when i wanna play mame on my cabs. i mentioned this in an earlier vid but thought i might just pull her out and show in a little more detail

@WickedClownNZ - thanks for the video. Having some grief getting mine going in my 'Black Storm' Astro knock-off: my left trigger is permanently on, no sound through cab speakers (though it's fine through RCA out), and I have to adjust the vert hold when moving from Evo X to CoinOPS. Is your left trigger hooked to pin 28? Are you running NTSC or PAL? 480i, p, or something else? Did you have to change your speaker setup? Cheers! Matt in Canberra, Oz.

@tolleymb na man my speaker setup is standard. and im running mine in ntsc. and i dont have either triggers wired up. i just use the 6 face buttons and dont use either triggers.

I bought yesterday the converter,the video quality is worse than RCA and its flickering.I use it on a hantarex 9000 arcade monitor,dissapointed

@oyama82 sorry to hear you had bad luck man. mine looks fine once i put the brigtness up. no flickering at all. the monitor in the astro is a nanao

@WickedClownNZ yeah I can see yours is ok.I played with all the values on my monitor but surely its not close to 15khz at all(actually its like RF!)

if it didnt had the flickering it would be acceptable though,but with flickering you cant play for long,eyes hurt

@oyama82 yeah man i imagine that would be a pain in the ass. im guessing these being chinese are not made with the best quality sadly

@WickedClownNZ After some time playing,flickering is gone.maybe my monitor wants a warm up first?I dont know

still the bad quality RCA image.I figured out that the adaptor doesnt enable RGB on the xbox but it drives it through composite(thats why it also has 2 rca connectors onboard-1 for video and one for audio)

so to all fellows who want to buy it beware,its a nice,cheap and unique solution but it doesnt output real RGB,its like connecting your xbox to a tv set through bad RCA
