Event: Yay or Neigh: Should the Carriage Horse Industry be Banned, Monday, May 11th 2009 6:30pm-8:30pm.
At the forum held by the New York City Bar, there were 2 photographers who took pictures of the attendees. This is a common tactic by the NYC horse drawn carriage industry.
The New York City Bar invited the industry to speak but the
industry did not respond. However after the event, there were 4 attendees discovered who were part of the industry.
Two of them were Richard Brodie, who conducts a riding program at Chateau Stables and Tommy Doyle, president of Carriage Operators of North America.

Please join http://www.ny-class.org/ to follow the issue and also contact your council members to support the ban and end the cruelty in NYC

  • Notice how they hide their faces.

  • Good thing they have these owners to use them as one would use a machine, not really caring if the horses need social time away from the asphalt

  • ya like mabey in smaller towns with less cars but somewere big is somethnig not to be

  • I wonder what Mr. Doyle has to say now that the shit has hit the fan in Charleston, and the dire conditions that exist in that city's industry have been brought to light.

  • camera wars. What was the beginning all about.

  • Great shots. Thank you for exposing the ugly nature of the carriage horse industry.

  • not on :( those horses are lucky they have such dedicated guardians to watch out for them, because if people like u weren't there, who knows how much worse things might be :( nice vid on a not so nice subject

  • im convinced horses dont belong in nyc

  • Oops, make that TJ Doyle of Charleston, at 1:56 ... just wanted to point him out so you'll know the next time he crashes an NYC event! Said his son (TJD Jr.) is president of Carriage Operators of North America (CONA)...

  • Tommy Doyle of Charleston, SC, at 1:48...what a piece of work he is! He lives in a dream world of his own making. The horses have in rough in Charleston; 98 degrees is the upper limit and there is no consideration for humidity.
