VirTouch is a virtual controller device based on projected multi-function controllers i.e. keyboard, mouse pad, drawing pad, etc... that can be used on any flat surface.
User experience is enhanced through displaying different user controlled widgets that can be used in wide range of applications.

  • @alenbdsouza I've done my own application interface (framework) and it's extendible (in a way that any one can create his own plugin)

  • which programming language did u use??\

  • @alenbdsouza I used C# (under WPF library)..

  • EveryCamera based setups suffers from light conditions;)

your work remembers me the Andy Wilson Play Anywhere ...Would love to be a beta tester ;) Does the app send TUIO ?

  • @jimihertz Look, I've already submitted it to my University, and got A+ grade on this project.. I don't want to stop at this stage... so if possible, would you please orient me on how to proceed and the possible ways for doing so.. :)

  • @jimihertz Yes, it was actually our main reference paper, except Wilson's didn't include any source code so we built it from scratch..

Well, it doesn't actually.. We haven't got time for this, may be for later releases.. but we have bundled it as a framework and a plugin management system where any programmer can develop there own plugins separately and make use of the multi-touch support of our framework..

  • @jimihertz Thnx!! :) Yeah It benefits from a really low cost HW setup but it's constrained to the light conditions as it mainly depends on shadows..

I don't mind sharing the code somewhere.. I'll be filling the wiki and the project's website soon...

  • wow, very inspiring & low cost setup :! Congrats,! Do you plan to release the soft ?

  • @MoustafaBaalbaki

    CONT'D

Microsoft has released a product called (Microsoft Surface) which costs $15,000 !!

of course our product cuts the price to under $300 :)
