This is a waste of space. 45% of the boreal allocated to logging companies? Maybe, but it dosen't mean that 45% is cut. Does greenpeace have any concept of natural disturbance? Clearcutting emulates natural disturbances such as fire which are integral to forest diversity. Leaving more forest untouched means more trees reach old growth status and eventually decompose. This process gives off carbon dioxide and advocates global warming. Not to mention lowering abundance of pioneer tree species.

Your an idiot. Theres so many things that are wrong with this ignorant comment that I can't possibly write them all. Do you have any concept of wildlife in the Boreal? How about how it serves as an enormous carbon sink? Concerned about global warming? Must not be if you don't appreciate the Boreal. The Boreal is the largest continuous forest region in the world that stretches throughout Canada and Russia. To think that only BC trees are valuable because of their size it absolutely ridiculous.
