The Honor Guard for Sergio Gudino does a 3-volley Salute on Jan 7 2006.

Hundreds of people attended the service for U.S. Army Specialist Sergio Gudino, 22, of Pomona, CA. Gudino was killed on December 25, 2005 in an IED attack in Baghdad, Iraq.

When the shots were fired, it was REALLY loud, a LOT louder than this video recorded, and there is some camera shake as a result.

  • I was in an ambush in Afgh. june of 07 losing my teamleader. I'm out because of the serious wounds. I hate death. I hate it. But seeing people torn up from losing a loved one just makes me want to go back, possibly be able to allow just one more man to come home. RIP fallen Warriors. "For he who gives his life shall always be my brother"

  • I'm glad you correctly identified this as a three volley salute. Quite an honor! I'm sorry for the loss of Spc Gudino, and I appreciate his service.

  • Such a happy character, May he Rest in Peace.

  • A soldier is truly selfless in this sense; they are willing to sacrifice themselves so that millions of free, innocent people will never have to, so that they may enjoy the freedom that billions have died to protect. You are a hero, a patriot, and an eternal sacrifice for not just America, not just the oppressed, but to the whole world. I honor you, and I love you my American brother, may you rest in eternal peace!

  • And there is no greater love than to give up one's life for a friend.

    God bless.

  • @brokeskater.... how about you go punch yourself in the face. No matter who is doing the service the man deserves the respect. Shut your face and stop posting stupid shit.

  • sorry to say bro but thats not the Honor Guard.

  • I fear this was not an actual trumpet/bugler playing taps. US Military has chosen to using a artificial electronic bugle. Only an actual playing of taps should be acceptable. If a military band person is not available, then a student in a public school band should be enlisted to play taps. Lets preserve honor & tradition and ban these fraudulent electronic posers! Our fallen brothers and sisters deserve an honest playing of Taps which shows a true respect to the families and loved ones. .

  • @opt4011x which corp and where were you Ambushed ?

  • I'm very sorry for your loss, I just want to say that regarding this video I was disapointed by the commanding soldier because he sounded weak on barking orders..normally the yell loud,,,which is the way it should be done..or maybe the video didn't record his commands properly. God bless you and your family. I too am a serving Soldier
