after about 3-6 months you get the uniforms and as soon as you do that and get you training and certifications like first aid, cpr, cruiser safety you can start doing ride alongs

yeah I call that lucky lol. I wish we wore black uniforms but maybe with different patches or somthing that way we least resemble our city and not a mall cop like you said lol :) I was thinking about joining two pds but I cant see how that would happen lol two exploerer academys :(

im with two posts im with the municiple police in my hometown and im with the county sheriffs posts, our uniforms for municpal are pathetic and make us look like mall cops, but for county we are issued the exact same uniforms as the sheriffs, the only difference is 1 small patch above the sheriff emblem on the sleeve but even the sheriffs have a patch there that says patrol officer or watever they are and even our badges are identical except for the word explorer its so nice we get more respect
