Im so tired of living here in S. Fla and running into tons of people who don't speak no dam english. Like seriously, how the hell did you get this job not knowing enough english just to answer a simple question. Be serious. and folks who speak perfect english can't get a job because they require you peak English and spanish. But they don't think twice about hiring someone who speaks only spanish. uh.. did you forget you wanted a bilingual person? WTF?

  • I understand when u say the language required to get a job in America should be English but also, in this era of globalization, it's almost a must to be at least bilingual. Yes it may be frustrating but that's how it is. Me for exemple, i was born and raised in France, and i'm now able to express myself in english and that's not hurting me (lol). If you take the time to learn another language, you'll be more competitive. It's called self improvment.

  • @MrFrantz21 Oh, I understand Globalization and I'm all for it. I speak 3 languages and willing to learn a 4th. My issue is with those who refuse to learn the native language of the country and go as far as to get mad when no one else around them speaks their native tongue. I've had people get upset with me wether at work or at a store because they are speaking to me in spanish and I don't understand. If I can make the effort to learn Spanish, then they can make that same effort to learn English.

  • True for the most part, however it would not hurt to learn Spanish, as educationally this country is behind compared to other countries. Other countries do learn foreign languages or English for that matter. The problem is that the schools in the US do not ENFORCE Spanish. They have Spanish as an option, and if you do take the class, it is not intensive. The Spanish classes here are very basic and are NOT designed to make the ppl FLUENT!!!

  • @alphaacad Here in S. FLA, spanish is not the only other culture here. It's simpler for everyone to speak English than for everyone to learn every language of every culture here. Why should schools force students to learn Spanish and not another language? Are we catering to just one culture and all others are forced to learn English? How many job applications have you ran into that ask applicants to speak both English and lets say...French? German? Chinese? Portuguese? Let's be equal all around.

  • you that you will find ALOT more jobs that wont take non english speakers.its very few that take spanish speakers only.so americans really have no reason to even complain.you guys get so much benefits for knowinq enqlish.i feel bad for the people that dont and are struggling like my parents

  • this IS america but then again florida is hiqhly populated by hispanics that it isnt as recomended as much as in other states.things are really hard on hispanics thouqh.they got hookups if they qot those jobs withou knowing english.my parents get minimum wage and get treated like shit because they dont know english.&& its unfair to us as well because they have as much ability to work as anyone else do the same things americans do the only difference is that they dont speak english.i can assure

  • my parents have been here for 12 years and they dont know english.its not easy for them to learn english is very different from spanish.and the english classes that they give in the schools are useless they never really teach shit.you never know how hard it is unless your qoinq thru it yourself.many latinos have jobs here in florida who dont speak english cuz like you said its basicaly full of latinos and they need spanish speakers.i understand that it should be required to know enqlish because

  • @cia5000 The same can be said for those who only speak their Native language and refuse to take the time to learn English. No need for the name calling. Many of us "English speaking only retards" travel to foreign countries and buy ourselves or download an app to help us navigate with the language spoken in France or Italy. We don't just go there and refuse to speak the language much less expect everyone there to cater to us and learn English. I'm the one coming in, not them.

  • who cares !!?
