  • @AliKhan567 as have i. being from a family of avid writers, i developed a very early interest in urdu lit. and was taught hindi too.. yeah i guess one can argue that, but the vocab difference, the grammar difference, the pronunciation difference and the difference between the historical significance of both cant be ignored. the two might be, say distant cousins, but they r not the same language...

  • @AshFate only in formal hindi and formal urdu, and it is a vocabulary difference. regular spoken urdu and hindi are essentially the same. Not to sound conceited, i have some authority in the matter: i've studied both, read and write both, grandparents are from around Delhi, India, parents are from Karachi, Pakistan.

  • @AliKhan567 noo they r not...there r some major differences

  • @genten777

Bekal is not a hindi word. there is a difference between urdu and hindi.

  • @genten777 You do realize Hindi and Urdu are basically the same language? :/

  • Watching Farida Khaum now reminds me of the couplet:

baad ik umr kay us shokh ko daikha aay dil

suratain kitni badal jaati hain insano ki

    Those were the days!!!

  • farida khanum is looking so sweet :)

  • v beautifull song

  • This is a culturally northren Indian song. If you notice the song is in complete hindi .
