I lived on the mainline in Bedford w/ heavy traffic. I loved the frequent horn, even at night. I was darned sleepless the night the locomotive engineers went on strike and no trains ran. It was too quiet, like there was something wrong with the world. I miss the regular horns. There is a weekend train near me, and I love hearing that horn Friday night.
Always enjoy hearing the "chugging" sounds of GE locomotives. What a great mix of classic cars! That first car is an ex-Seabaord Airline "Sun Lounge". Thanks for sharing :)
trains are not special

This train was heading for Scranton Pennsylvania. The move itself is for a convention of private passenger car owners from around the United States

Yeah, but it isn't cool living there with a train blowing his horn every 20 minutes throughout the night. It sucks actually.
