Whats Ironic about this is We would watch wresting on T.V and Bitch and Gripe about too many promos and not enough Matches. Years Later, the promos is what you want to see.

@RayNDeere Okay. I didn't know about the UWF/WWF portion of the story. Of course, Hacksaw Duggan had made his WWF debut around the time of Wrestlemania III and a few months later Ted DiBiase would follow.
An interesting fact about DiBiase. Just before he left the UWF, there was a hint that he was going to turn heel and eventually feud with Doc. Also, DiBiase said that when he was in negotiations with Crockett that Crockett had said that he would put the NWA belt on him.

@Sargebri One Man Gang was heading to the WWE, so Crockett suggested Bubba as a transitional champion to set up Steve Williams to win the belt at the Great American Bash.
As for the story about Crockett buying the UWF, the story I heard was that Bill Watts leaked that the WWE was interested and was looking to pay more than the original JCP offer. Crockett supposedly paid an additional $2 million to get it before Vince did

Ha he...he said Momma was gonna call him home. lol. Referring to the broadcast from Oral Roberts saying if he didnt raise a million dollars...the lor was going to call him home.
Funny part was...look at the wrestlers faces when he said that...they are trying not to laugh..lol.
