Inseperable Ch. 10 Part 1

Kevin: *frowning* Amanda...you don't understand...let me explain.
Amanda: Explain? *taking a step back from Kevin and crossing her arms* You want time to explain?! What about the three years of time you had to explain?
Kevin: Amanda...just calm down...just let me...
Amanda: No. You let me. My best friends don't tell me until the day they are moving that their leaving. I got over that. The guy who I love decided that was the day he would tell me how he really felt, even though he was leaving me. I got over that. I even got through the months of not seeing you. But what I didn't get over? How all of the sudden, my best friends, even you, stopped calling me. You all just dropped me, and now you think you can come back and expect us to pick up where we left off? Well, you're wrong. *she turns her head down and tries not to cry*
Kevin: Amanda? *he gently lifts her chin* Look at me. I know how hurt, how angry you have to be right now. *Amanda gave him a glare* But you have to let me explain. We thought we'd be doing you a favor.
Amanda: A favor? You call ripping my heart to pieces and leaving me in the dust a favor?
Kevin: Please. Just listen. *deep breath* Being away from you...it hurt not only me, but Joe and Nick too. We missed being able to hang out everyday. We hated that we couldn't see you. I hated that I couldn't be there for you. *Amanda started tearing up a little more* We figured it was doing the same thing to you *lower voice* It turns out we were right. *normal voice* So we made a deal, or a pact. We would stop talking to you. I guess in the hope that you would forget us and move on. I can see how wrong we were.
Amanda: Well, yeah. I lost my best friends...and you.
Kevin: *wiping her tears* But I'm here now...

Kevin looked into Amanda's eyes. They slowly grew closer together. A breath away from each other...

Amanda: K-k-Kevin?
Kevin: Yes?
Amanda: I can't do this.
Kevin: *backing up slightly from Amanda* What?
Amanda: I don't know. I just...I can't go this fast. I mean, it still hurts that you left me once.
Kevin: But I just told you...
Amanda: I know. But I'm going to need some time. I really do care about you. But, I need to think.
Kevin: *sighing* I understand. And I figured you would. But, hey, you can't blame a guy for trying, *smiling* Well, now that we have covered the yelling portion of the date, would you like to meet up with everyone at the ice cream parlor?
Amanda: *slightly laughing* Of course.

Kevin sent out a text message telling Joe that they would meet at the ice cream parlor. Then Kevin and Amanda got into the car, and set out for their destination.

Skipping To The Ice Cream Parlor...

Crystal:...and then Joe hit the guy in the head with a golf ball. So we took off running, and ended up hiding in the mall. *everyone laughs*
Kevin: So where did Nick go?
Harmony: *quietly* Miley.
