Concordia is in one of the remotest parts of Pakistan in the Karakoram Range at the confluence of the Baltoro and the Godwin Austen Glaciers. This junction has been called "the Throne Room of the Gods," being ringed by 4 of the 14 highest peaks in the world. Mountaineering expeditions to Broad Peak, Gasherbrum II, Gasherbrum IV, Chogolisa, Mitre Peak, Masherbrum and Trango Towers all pass along this route. This video is of this journey that took place over flood ravaged roads and unimaginably difficult terrain in Kashmir, and finally over one of the longest glaciers in the world. Battling fatigue, blisters, dehydration, altitude sickness, and gastrointestinal ailments, the entire team of 11 trekkers, guided by Ayub Raja and his crew, 36 porters, and one goat successfully reached Concordia at 15,500 ft. Some then went on to the base of K2 Anisa Iqbal, 13 years old, became the youngest American to walk to Concordia, and Meesha Kamal became the youngest Pakistani girl at 14 years to achieve that feat.
