This series of 7 videos mean a great deal to me; it was on this tour of Roger's that I had the privilige and honour of meeting him, on June 22, 1986, in Seattle, WA.
It is to this day, the single greatest thrill of my entire musical career. :-)
Of course, my story is not unique in the slightest.
It's a tale that I share with all my 12 string compadres; friends here on You Tube, The Byrds Yahoo! group, and musicians all over the world.
I think you'll find Roger in excellent form here; both his singing and playing are excellent.
Enjoy. :-)

That was my first thought when I heard this song on the bob and tom show. Tom Petty. Turns out Roger McGuinn sing just like him.

Damn... I always hear a clip of this on NPR's "Talk of the Nation," and I always assumed it was Tom Petty. Feel like an idiot.

I have this CD when he was with the Byrds. ALL the music is absolutely fabulous! And Roger is one of the greats!

I wonder if he still does this one on his tours; based on the 3 shows I've caught in the last few years I haven't heard it, but I know he likes to mix it up as I've kept the set lists :)
