I own a Laney Cub 10 and I must say its kick ass, its unfortunate Laney amps are underrated. They are best value for money with awesome tone.

I picked one up for a song a couple months ago. I ran it into a 2x12 and smoked the OT and a Celestion V30. My bad for running this beast through a 2x12. Replaced the OT and retubed with GT dual-getters clones and ran it through a 4x12. Sounds freakin' amazing but only at volume levels to kill small animals.

@caesar09 So true, i'll never understand why he changed to Marshall though :(

I've been using Laney's since 86' and the GH100L since 94'. They are very underrated amps indeed. The quality issues that everyone bangs on about is rubbish. There was a period mid 80's with poor component choice but those were rectified. I've gigged mine couple of Laney's constantly with very little bother. Like any amp if you look after it, it looks after you :)

I have an old Protube 60 Laney. It's got two preamps and mounds of gain.

@themodernguitarist "The Laney GH100L is my favorite head of all time. It has the most natural distortion and tightest low end of any amp I've tried. It is the only amp that accurately tracks my fast picking on the low, thicker strings. Total clarity and full metal punch. I love it!" - Paul Gilbert

@guitarstuffplace yup - the amp show is in a hotel, and each manufacturer is in their own room.
