Arpad Pusztai went public with research he was conducting with genetically modified potatoes. In a short interview he reported that rats fed potatoes engineered to express a plant lectin had stunted growth and a repressed immune system. This resulted in a media frenzy and Pusztai was suspended. Despite opposition from the Royal Society, the data was published in the academic journal The Lancet in October 1999.

I quit drinking cow milk in the late 1980's.

Now I am glad I did, even though my peers critisized me for suggesting the milk was unhealthy.

I instinctively knew it was different than what we milked on a family farm.

Now I feel the same way about corn products - Guess what?

My instincts are the same!

god bless this indian guy, he saved canadian and european people from this nightmare. obviously FDA officials in US took the bribes, just like with aspartame and GM foods and sold us out. and lobbyists bribed congress here so now they dont have to put GMO or BGH on food labels. more than half FDA officials have financial ties with corporations like monsanto. ITS ILLIGAL damn it. same with senators who take bribes from them, they should go to jail
