As far as the propane tanks go, many people discard the tanks with the old style valve on them. I take them and use them at the propane tank exchange places. Pay for propane and you got a new tank. Nice vid, thanks.

@Ahtuke Here the older tanks with the old valves they wont exchange  every now and then the dude at the refill station will fill 1 or two for me but they are not supposed to

i barter a lot..my coupons save me bunches.i dumpster dive and on trash night , i cruise the neighborhood for treasures....no shame in my game. we throw out so many things that can be refurbished. i trade alot of things i pick up .

do u leave all this gas cans at the sun? i know thats not gonna explode and shit like that but.. the gas dont evaporate?

i live in the city and there a lot of forclosures so when ever i get one that pops up on my street ill tend it cut the grass and stuff so people dont think im there to turn it into a crack house and i alway get all sorts of this kind of stuff alot of people will leave there oil tanks full iv got a tankless water heater and every so often i find a grill with some propane and living in the city the cops dont really care when they get called for someone breaking into a abanden house to clean it up

My parents live in a hurricane-prone area and got a generator for free because we brought our neighbor beer and food after Hurricane Ike and watched over his house after he was deported. Another place you can get free stuff is Craigslist.

I got the same generator for free also, it had fuel problems and they were going to throw it away so I got it and had it running an hour.

i converted my gen to propane, gas goes bad too fast and is unreliable. you can get the kits online for around $150 depending on your engine. i never have to worry about the carb being gummed up or water in the fuel. best investment i ever made.

my boy scout troop got 4 free propane tanks by going to the dump and asking them if we could have propane tanks, then going to a propane refilling station and exchanging them..........now if we only could keep track of such propane tanks.
