  • @sitarguitar1979 Most of the art general people call bad is among the best selling artwork in history. I believe that one of Pollocks paintings is the highest selling painting ever to this point. it was sold to david geffen for about $140 million. the art that doesn't actually mean anything or have any visual reference to a real story or object is more artistic that for example the renaissance paintings like the Last Supper. i think its harder to create something that doesnt exist.

  • My fav. is his "Self-Portrait" from 1930-33, it was Oil on gesso ground on a canvas, I looks natural, but the rest, personally I think there pretty hideous.
