  • Absolutely beautiful island, i really wanna go there, is there a very cosy community on the island, does every1 know every1? do u have ipods and things like that? and do u have any friends other than on the island????

  • @HezznHutchStudios Everybody knows everybody. Of course everything is available (even the iPad) via a web shop, but you might have to wait 3 months to be delivered, because the supply ship arrives every three months.

Friends is of course not so easy, because the nearest other island is 2 and a half days sailing away.

  • @19garfield62 wuts the weather like, have u ever experienced a cyclone of storm or something, i'd love to come and visit sumtime. I live in the UK so yer, no cyclones or anything just snow and floods and that.....and is pitkern really cool? cuz apparantly its like 18th century english? wuts life in general like on the island? can u buy coca cola or mars bars?

  • @HezznHutch I’m not a resident, I live in Holland. I stayed on the island for 1 week.

There where no cyclones or hurricanes when I visited and as far as I know the Island is not in a cyclone region.

Pitkern, was reasonably understandable but is because I speak many languages. The people speak modern English too but when talking to other residents, they use Pitkern; a mix of 18 century English and Polynesian

Mars bars, cola is available, all depending on how long ago the supply ship arrived

  • @19garfield62 wut does pitkern sound like? is it basically like how art thou?

  • @HezznHutchStudios Hahaha, nope. It’s basically English but intermingled with Polynesian words.

I never studied English, so I would not understand a lot of it, if it where really old English.

But get a 18th century book in original print and read and than mix in some Polynesian words from Tahiti ;-)

  • The sad thing about this is after arriving at their paradise, 15 January 1790, they proceeded to kill each other. In 1808 when the ship Topaz reached Pitcairn Island, only John Adams, nine women, and some children still lived. It's sad people are basically butt holes.

  • thank you for all your videos garfield, ive been fascinated with pitcairn for years and this has opened new visual doors for me :] thanks again, one love

  • @yoyohooyo the whole story is that the reason for the killings were because of alcohol-fueled jealousies, covetousness, enslavement,etc..the remaining people turned to the ship's bible for stability, peace, and sustenance for survival--if this wasn't just a small laboratory of the world on a micro level, proving the need for christianity on a worldwide macro level, i don't what is..

  • @SlayerOfLies I'm british anyways so np and i can spell Pitcairn

  • @HezznHutchStudios They are good at spelling on the island so you may want to imporove your understanding of English before going there. Also, learn how to spell the name of the island.

  • @pierewiet200 Simona. You are very well prepared about this subject. How did you build up your knowledge?

    Ciao, Franco
