This is my device to test if neodymium magnets run down, fade away, or what ever.
The stator has 8 alnico magnets with 1 neodymium magnet glued to each one. The rotor has 6 alnico magnets with 1 neodymium magnet glued to each one. All 8 stator magnets have the same polarity facing inward. All 6 rotor magnets have the same polarity facing outward. Hence north/north, or south/south.
It has been in use for over a month with no degradation of the magnets capability. Strangely enough is does slightly warm up the stator. Their maximum working temperature is only 150 degrees C (302 degrees F).
The Curie Temperature for NdFeB magnets is 310C (590F). Demagnetizing Fields
This is an area where these magnets outperform others. They are tough to demagnetize. This also means that they can easily remagnetize or change polarity of other classes of magnets - like SmCo or Alnico or Ferrite! Again, store your magnets separately by class.

  • I don't believe this guy! It looks like he switches some power on. There are wires coming out which are supposed to be a generator but it could be a motor. I would need to see the motor on its own.

  • @sorova You are very observant, except for the reading part. Do that first before you comment. It is not a generator, I never said it was, that is your mistaken observation..

    Donovan.

  • @MagnetOnlyMotors It's still a poitless exercise. Tell me why you would expect the magnets to lose their field when energy is being put in - not taken out as with a motor! Duh!

  • @sorova I never put any energy into the magnets. Why don't you look closer and see. Where are the wires on the magnet rotor housing?? There are 2 seperate entities there. One is an electric motor, the other is not.

    DUH!!

  • @MagnetOnlyMotors You don't understand basic highschool physics! You are feeding electrical energy to the motor which in turn feeds this energy in rotational form to the magnets. The magnets do not have to do any work. What you need to test your hypothesis is a magnetic motor basic on permanent magnets. then they would be using their own energy. however, I have yet to see such a motor and when there is one details are never given. Such a motor would reach an equilibrium and stop.

  • @sorova. I understand basic highschool physics, on the other hand YOU don't get the gist of this video. I'm not trying to make a motor or generator out of this, as you somehow assume I am. You are looking for things that aren't there.

  • @MucusFelidae I guess you can't comprehend what it means. Too bad for you,Mucus.

  • Piece of garbage for the junk yard.
