  • XD makes a full size, a compact and a sub-compact?

  • @zfunishere1 They make this gun with a 5", a 4" and a 3" barrel. The 4" barrel with the compact concealed carry magazine is considered the compact XD. The 3" barrel with the short concealed carry magazine is considered the sub-compact.

This gun also comes in three calibers, the .45, .40 and 9mm. I recommend the 9mm for the subcompact and compact grips to keep the recoil managable.

  • do u only have to use some breakfree every now and then, or is is just a personel preference to use it all the time

  • Its necessary to apply a light coat of oil every time you clean the gun. This light coat of oil helps keeps parts moving as well as prevents rust.

  • Viewers, do your research!

This is not the proper way to clean the barrel of you gun. This is exactly the type of video that needs to be removed.

  • That's the extent of your comment? If you think the video needs to be corrected, speak up. What about this method is incorrect?

If you're another one who thinks the bore brush should only be pushed through the chamber end, keep the comment to yourself. A back and forth motion is not going to damage the crown.

  • you should only push the brush in the direction the bullet travels!

  • Shouldn't you also oil the slide rails?

  • @jtodd900 I think the metal brush you're referring to is a bronze brush, a bronze brush will do a better job of cleaning the barrel (works better on copper fouling) and they're safe to use on an XD.

  • Very helpful. Just got my first XD9 and info like this is invaluable. You're a legend.

  • how do i clean the fireing pin?

  • Thanks! Very helpful!

  • @gumbys1up because it a nylon brush you dumb fucking asshole!

  • @mach116993 your a fucking idiot and you don't know shit..

  • To all that say he is cleaning the barrel wrong.. explain to me then why SA gives you a Barrel brush that doesn't come apart??... jesus. Blind leading the blind.

  • @MrBearox you should never be allowed to own a gun if you have a ND.
