John Simon, U.Va.'s executive vice president and provost, tells students to prepare for global leadership. He sees global connections as increasingly common and important. Simon speaks to students receiving intermediate honors and to their families during the 2012 Fall Convocation ceremony held at the John Paul Jones Arena. He shares his own international experience, and speaks fondly of collaborations he continues to have with a Japanese colleague, even though the two have only met face-to-face one time.
